Retrofitting Existing
Panel & Load Centers |
More and more consumers need to upgrade their existing electrical systems to meet their growing power demand. The digital age coupled with the aging infrastructure is driving these opportunities as well as a desire for improved building safety and reliability through adding arc fault, ground fault, and/or surge protection. Some situations where retrofits would prove useful are: if removing the existing box would cause major wall repair, disturbing existing asbestos insulation, and avoiding downtime and saving labor costs. Please give BABSCO Supply a call or stop out to one of our three locations to see how these kits can save you time, money, and possibly a few headaches.
Retrofit Kits
consist of cover assembly and field adjustable interior assembly

Smart Strip® |
All electronics draw some power even when they are in sleep mode or turned off. For example, a computer monitor uses up to 30 watts even in sleep mode. That adds up to about $2.19 a month or $26.67 a year in energy costs. Other computer peripherals and home entertainment equipment can draw over 50 watts when “off”. It’s easy to see that the energy being consumed by all of your “sleeping” electronics really adds up.
The advanced technology in the Smart Strip® combine surge protection with automatic power control. Coleman offers both a 7 outlet surge protector rated for 1200 joules shown below and a 10 outlet surge protector rated for 2100 joules. They automatically turn off power to printers, DVD players, and other electronics when they are not in use, saving electricity and money. BEING GREEN JUST GOT EASY!©

Let’s face it, today’s economy is shaky with Wall Street’s six hundred point swings in a single day and energy costs soaring. The good news though is that there's a guaranteed way to save money with no risk involved while saving the environment: compact fluorescent light bulbs.
Purchasing a 20W compact fluorescent light bulb will save you an average of $55 compared to it’s incandescent counter part, easily offsetting the higher initial price per bulb. Multiply that times the number of incandescent bulbs currently used in your house and the savings add up quickly.
Please stop in and check our line-up of compact fluorescent bulbs and start saving money as well as the environment!

Today going green does not just mean helping out the environment but saving money too. Energy efficient fluorescent luminaries are fast becoming the choice for lighting spaces traditionally designed with H.I.D. fixtures.
Advancements in lamp and ballast technology combined with superior optical qualities have moved fluorescent lighting to the forefront. Today a company or school can save up to 50% in energy savings compared to their H.I.D. counterparts. Additionally, they turn on immediately with no warm up time allowing for instant light.
The option of motion activated lighting systems can cut even more wasted energy. There are also tax incentives that can help offset the cost of making the move faster than ever before.
To see the quality and brightness these can bring to your company, come into BABSCO. We replaced our H.I.D. lights a year and a half ago and have not looked back!
Check out our online reference center to see what tax incentives apply to you. Give us a call and start changing today to save some green & the environment.
